At the end of October we sent out an email request to SiDE Pool members with email addresses.

We asked them to complete a survey regarding their motivations for taking part in research...

We want to send a message of thanks to members of the SiDE User Pool to let you know how much you helped the work of SiDE. User Pool members are mainly from across Dundee, Tayside, Angus, Perth and Kinross and Fife. However we do also have some people from East Lothian, Glasgow even down to the borders and beyond.

For us working on the SiDE project it has been rewarding working with you in so many ways.

Your response to our questionnaires and many requests for information has been tremendous and we thank you for your patience in dealing with so many demands on your time.

Many of you were invited to come into the university and work closely with researchers and you have been thoroughly consistent and dependable, allowing so many researchers to benefit from your contributions.

Your knowledge, experience and insights have enriched the findings beyond measure giving authenticity and validity to the final research results.

Your generosity in taking part in our studies has added to published research and helped researchers to understand how important the voice of the user is at the start of and throughout the research process.

Your work has been reported at conferences nationally and globally thus adding to the wider education and knowledge of international researchers.

Your input has made our work unique.  (Look under projects at the top of the page to read short updates on all of the reserch projects.)

Last but not least your kindness and good nature when contacting you or meeting you has certainly made life in the SiDE office a pleasurable place to work!

So THANK YOU one and all!
